YAY! Boom Studios just released the covers for issue 2 of MARCELINE AND THE SCREAM QUEENS. Cover B is by ERICA HENDERSON! WOO. YAY! I’ve been waiting for them to announce the next issue so that I could post this cover. I didn’t have a whole lot of time to work on it, but I’m pretty darn pleased.

This was one of my favorite pages I’ve done for the book. It’s just a sweet moment between two people that is punctuated by the silliness of youth. I don’t get much of an opportunity for levity in Morning Glories, and that’s why I love this scene so much.
(and I’ve also got this secret wish to draw a romance comic. haha)
Wow. A gay(ish) moment in Morning Glories. Rather unexpected, actually. But I can’t wait to see what causes this scene and how it might be resolved.
With the new reveal of Power Girl’s Supreme-style costume, I felt somebody had to speak out.
I think this is pretty good, and the reasoning makes sense, although I won’t necessarily say I wholly agree with it. But the change of Power Girl’s costume was rather… sad.

Yes, I know I’m retumbling lots, but I have to. I love this image. Guy Davis is one of my favourite B.P.R.D. artists, and I love his Liz Sherman. This is arguably her at her most “beautiful”, yet she looks average. I love that.
And Hellboy’s awesome too.

I like me some Morning Glories. It’s a very hard series to get to grips with, but once it clicks then it’s amazing. And I love it. And I want more.

Hi, thanks. I really like Mercury, too. I think it’s been too easy to just dismiss her problems as hinging on the fact that her cheer leading days are behind her. Of course, I would jump at the chance to revisit any of those characters. But I agree with you that Cess, in particular, has some real room for growth.
